Really good read.

"I expect most of the women who gathered last week identify as feminists. But radical? I doubt it. Unless it is now considered radical to state that women as a sex are oppressed because of their female biology, rather than their gender identity. Unless it is still considered radical to say that boys can play with dolls and girls with cars. Unless it is now considered radical to even suggest that young women are being physically and mentally harmed by growing up in a culture in which any identity is socially acceptable apart from that of cis lesbian"

Very brave article considering their demographic would contain a lot of folk sympathetic to trans I would have guessed.

Brilliant to see this reported in mainstream media.

Interestingly, the comments show just how high the level of public ignorance is. Not just about the facts of the issue, but that there actually IS an issue. I guess it's not surprising that men haven't noticed it because it doesn't affect their rights, but it's only through mainstream reporting that they'll begin to wake up and realise that it will. (Not to the same extent that women's rights will be eroded obvs, but whereas we're 'making a fuss' about massive political ground-giving, having to justify rejecting the advantages of a TIM will be a concession too far for most men.)
