Homophobia and TRAs

Just been reading through Twitter and stumbled on this vile collection of tweets about lesbians by TIMs. Is this what the trans rights moment is based on because it is utterly wrong and so homophobic.

@Dyketagnan is a brilliant account to follow on Twitter for TRA lesbophobia. Aussie lesbian who spends a lot of time successfully tying TRAs and associated virtue signallers into knots.

I don’t really understand how anyone can see those tweets and still support the TRAs. It is such obvious homophobia.

It's not new to me I've seen this homophobia from TRAs before. The fedupfemme is great though (thanks to this site and the women here for posting it). It disturbs me, this homophobia because this is what our children are growing up with. Our children may be gay/lesbian and I'm pretty sure that the vast majority of people on this site would be fine with that and this generation would have grown up feeling better about being gay - not ashamed, proud of who they are. Now if a girl comes out as lesbian she is (once again) made to feel ashamed because she is a 'vagina fetishist' who won't 'suck lady cock' - even the terms used by these people is aggressive and porn influenced. At a time when being gay should have been easier these people are making it harder by throwing accusations of transphobia around, demeaning people (particularly women) and generally being belligerent.

I'm angry and upset for all these children growing up with this crap. It is utter homophobia and I don't understand how people are missing this.

Not to mention encouraging gender non conforming children who would in most cases grow up gay if left alone to take sterilising drugs and have mutilating, sterilising surgery.

The word 'eugenics' comes to mind. Mengele would have loved it.

Totally agree glittery.

And I now see why there is aTERF block
List. Because if TRAs and their followers had to engage at all with critical thinking it would become obvious really quickly just how homophobic and misogynistic their ideas really are.

Maybe we should be yellling bigot right back at them. That might confuse them for a bit.

Brain fetishist.

Gender fetishist.

I can (to a point) understand why TRAs won't engage with critical thinking, but what's the excuse for the many men and women crying out at trans oppression?
Are women's rights so unimportant?
As for Ralf Little and others like him, are they not reading women's accounts? Do they have their heads so far up their liberal bums that they can't see for shit?

YassQueen · 19/01/2018 15:13

There's a lot of biphobia too. People fall into two camps - either "all bisexual people are actually pansexual" or "all bisexual people are transphobic".

It's so much harder for lesbians though. They're given shocking treatment by TAs. Notice how gay men are never criticised for not wanting the vaginas of transmen? Male privilege and violence against women, pure and simple. Of course, if you call them out on it, you're transphobic.

And then we have to share our spaces, our Pride events and our charities with them, because they've tacked themselves onto LGB and keep demanding more.

NannyOggsKnickers · 19/01/2018 18:30

More needs to be done to highlight the violent and oppressive nature of the trans movement. It is not right that they have these beliefs and yet are taking over the LGB narrative.

I was reading a thread on FB on the Labour party forum. Someone posted tweets from a man who said trans women are women but not when it comes to relationships
Men and women were falling over themselves to defend the guy. Personal preference, he can choose who to have sex with Yadda Yadda
Pity they don't afford the same rights and respect to lesbians

Ereshkigal · 20/01/2018 15:26

What these idiots don't understand is that guy was asked that question, like Owen Jones was asked about cunnilingus on a transman, precisely because of the appalling homophobia the trans lobby and their supporters direct at lesbians and to show up their hypocrisy and highlight that they don't really believe these people are the opposite sex.
