I'm keen to listen to any podcasts about feminism and in particular, the Transgender and Self ID issue.

I know there are loads and loads, but I'm after the more less jargony podcast. I admit to being a bit clueless with academic terms and academic type literature and find it hard to follow.

I really really want to learn.

I've just found a 2 parter with the fabulous Miranda Yardley but if anyone else has any suggestions, I'd be grateful.

I can recommend Feminist Current, Women’s Liberation Radio News and Sam Harris. If you do a search on Angela Nagle, she wrote a great book last year ‘Kill All Normies’ which has a interesting section on transgenderism, which she covers a few podcast interviews.

Sam Harris and Jordan B Peterson have some quirky views of feminism, but their podcasts have really helped me to learn about trans as a political movement. Joe Rogan also did a great interview with Blaire White last year.

The Guilty Feminist.

The Guilty Feminist can be good-but I find the relentlessly jokey tone a bit wearing. They did one specifically about trans issues last year called Minefields which I think was the first step in peak-transing me. Worth a listen.

I’m afraid that I found Deborah’s constant deferring to the greater knowledge of Reubs to be so irritating that I unsubscribed. In one episode she said that true social acceptance will come at the point when transwomen are playing the part of non-trans female roles in tv and film without comment which smacked of being complicit in the erasure of women to me. Because there are just so many amazing roles out there for women as it is...

Also all that ‘I’m a feminist but I want to know that men say ‘Ooooh, I’d give ‘er one’ when I leave the oroom’ I find to be just so completely banal.

I agree. When they started talking about how trans exclusionary the term “FGM” was I actually thought for a moment it was a spoof.

Thanks everyone. I've listened to a few Joe Rogans which I quite enjoyed. The Guilty Feminist jokey tone really annoyed me too Bertr but I'll find the one you're talking about.

I love listening to Miranda Yardley - I think she's amazing and full of dignity and respect. I also understand the language she uses. Can't say I'm too keen on the woman interviewing her for the 2 parter I have downloaded (Samantha Presdee I think) but I'll keep on at it.

I've discovered a Canadian Psychologist called Jordan Peterson too who has clashed with TRA's but as I understand it, the Canadian Political system has caused so many problems. I find him really complex and deep so I of course have to play him at least 4-5 times to understand things. Blush

I'm looking for podcasts too - quite like Joe Rogers and I agree a lot with Blair White.

Can't seem to find their podcast though.. can anyone help?
