I posted this quote from cbb on the ginuwine thread:
Andrew said (about dragging up) that as a “heterosexual male from the north” he wanted to “break that gender barrier between a heterosexual male drinking beer down the pub called Dan and Dave, and bring in this heterosexual male who’s comfortable with himself…”

So, I thought it would be fun to create a thread for us all to post our favourite examples of this.

I can't believe Prince didn't appear until page 2!! Shock

Another lip sync battle one that springs to mind is Channing Tatum as Elsa!

This article by the Smithsonian is really interesting about when and why pink and blue began to be used for girls and boys respectively

This is a great thread. I was looking for a pic of a man with a glitter beard when I found this article on a photographer who's made up men in a really kitsch OTT way for an exhibition.

Conchita Wurst - it is a drag act but he is proudly not transgender and a gay icon.

Strawberries - pre nappies, boys and girls were both dressed alike in dresses up until they were toilet trained - much easier to lift a skirt out the way and hold them somewhere convenient!

PricklyBall · 10/01/2018 19:57

(Lovely painting btw - just did a reverse image search for you, and it's Zoffany, "The Blunt children around 1765")

IndominusRex · 10/01/2018 20:05

Excellent fact sharing Prickly!

GrooovyLass - I adored the Manics as a teenager! Grin What’s Nicky’s take on the trans movement? Have you heard/read anything? He was never very shy about making his opinions heard! Wink

Sorry, hope I’m not derailing...

I'm only just hitting 40, and I have pictures of my dad, with beautiful curls, in a dress - totally normal.
