I read things like this and am shocked at the lengths some men will go to for a sexual kick.
Those poor women. Ugh.

Despite being banged to rights and knowing he was going to prison he refused to name his victims so that they could be informed that there were cameras in their homes??? [angry[ Angry Angry that nasty runs deep.

guardianfree · 05/01/2018 13:28

What's the betting that next year he'll convince the parole board that he's no longer a danger and be released!

DonnyAndVladSittingInATree · 05/01/2018 13:30

Yep

A sentence of 3 years means that only 1.5 will be served, I think? Doesn't seem like much for the sheer volume of offending this man committed. Plus he was also in possession of the worst category of indecent images of children which is sickening.

Xenophile · 05/01/2018 13:43

At least he's doing jail time.

This fucker's sentence has been suspended.

losamsterdamos · 05/01/2018 14:21

He had been doing it since 2013 and has only just been caught

makes you wonder how many others are out there doing it who haven't yet been caught

Apparently (according to the judgement) McRae has diagnosed voyeurism and "fetishistic transvestism". The judge said that:
"Women will undoubtedly feel a need to be protected from such behaviour by the knowledge that the courts will deal with offenders severely, and men will thereby be deterred from committing such offences.
On the other hand, you suffer from an illness that can be treated and you have submitted to that treatment."

It looks as if he spent 4 years filming women on transport, at work and neighbours! Of course he wasn't jailed - but then, after today's revelations about Warbouys and Theodore Johnson, of course he wouldn't be. Angry

BetsyM00 · 05/01/2018 22:35

I'm sorry, what!!

Transvestism which is under the transgender umbrella is now a treatable illness for the purposes of avoiding jail. Good god, they really can have it every which way - I despair.

Ereshkigal · 05/01/2018 23:37

On the other hand, you suffer from an illness that can be treated and you have submitted to that treatment."

What treatment would that be then?

Ereshkigal · 05/01/2018 23:40

Because I was under the impression that these people were supposed to be allowed free access to women's spaces such as toilets, changing rooms etc? That's the treatment maybe? Hmm

YetAnotherSpartacus · 05/01/2018 23:57

Can anyone tell me anything about the sites where men exchange photos of women they have filmed? I was trying to tell someone about these but wasn't convincing because I didn't know any real details. Are they public or hidden?

SparklyUnicornTractors · 07/01/2018 08:32

I thought Theresa May announced it wasn't an illness and it's to be celebrated, and anything else was conversion therapy?

My God the government are making a complete legal Augean stables of this.
