Jessica Eaton has written a very good blog piece about male whataboutery. It's called Stop asking me 'What about men?' She explains that she and her husband run a charity for men experiencing men's health problems. When she writes about that she never, ever gets anyone saying 'What about the women?' However, when she writes about her research into women as victims, she always gets 'This is sexist, men experience violence too!' and worse. It's a good article, well worth a read.
However, it gets better - she tweeted this earlier:
Shoutout to the bellend who thought it appropriate to find my Husband on Facebook, to ‘check’ for ‘accuracies’ in my blog ‘stop asking me ‘what about men?’
You had to check with my husband that I really did do those things?
You absolute melt.
Point. Made.
