Jessica Eaton has written a very good blog piece about male whataboutery. It's called Stop asking me 'What about men?' She explains that she and her husband run a charity for men experiencing men's health problems. When she writes about that she never, ever gets anyone saying 'What about the women?' However, when she writes about her research into women as victims, she always gets 'This is sexist, men experience violence too!' and worse. It's a good article, well worth a read.

However, it gets better - she tweeted this earlier:

Shoutout to the bellend who thought it appropriate to find my Husband on Facebook, to ‘check’ for ‘accuracies’ in my blog ‘stop asking me ‘what about men?’

You had to check with my husband that I really did do those things?

You absolute melt.

Point. Made.

It makes me rage. I've just had WATM from my own mother fgs. I shared a petition on Facebook about the black cab rapist. Someone commented how they were sick of soft penalties for attacks on women and children. DM replied with "Men get hurt too Sad xxx". Where do I even start??

DamnDeDoubtanceIsSpartacus · 05/01/2018 13:22

Just reply to your mum that yes, they do get hurt, by other men!

TheIllaminati · 05/01/2018 13:42

I ficking love that she called someone a melt. It's so...withering.

The only people that men kill more often than women are other men, but I am puzzled as to why everyone seems to be waiting for women to do something about it.
Male violence is the greatest human rights crisis the world has ever known. They need to sort themselves out.

She's fabulous. Amazing woman who needs to get huge recognition for the work she does.

It gets better, ''James'' called her out as a misandrist today.

Hahahaha Grin Dogs are men in this masterful analogy:

I've read it & retracted my apology. To use an analogy, this woman uses public money to kick dogs (FT), sets up charity with public money for abused dogs (PT), then gets 100k people to applaud her campaign to stop abused dogs from whining. Logic, reason, embarrassmnent to you.xx

Wow - what a plank! (James)

BatShite · 06/01/2018 15:35

It really is ridiculous. Her blog is so good, but also so depressing. And extremely true. You cannot mention helping women in any way without a lot of ' what about the men?! Evil feminazi' comments.

BatShite · 06/01/2018 15:41

The 'predators are posing as chicken nuggets article is also extremely interesting.
