Jamie - The Musical - what did you think?

Went to see this a few days ago on the stage and wondered if anyone else had seen it?

I tried to switch off any feminism just so I could enjoy the music, but actually, I thought it had rather a good message. Did I read it right?

For those without interest in seeing it, it's about a schoolboy who wants to become a drag queen and wear a dress to prom.

He ended up being, I think, a rather happy "boy in a dress" (which he had originally said should be laughed at unless you were a drag queen). He didn't become anything else in the end other than 'Jamie' but with heels. The word 'trans' wasn't even mentioned. He wore a lovely, non-drag-style dress to prom and it wasn't over the top or a caricature at all.

I'd actually go so far as to recommend it!

I've seen the posters for this and wondered what it's about. I'm all for boys being able to proudly wear heels and dresses as boys so sounds good.

Sounds good. Just like 'The boy in the dress' by David Walliams.
Not that I've read it. My son has.
I think the boy in it just wears a dress. He doesn't think it makes him a girl.
