Please - anyone on twitter, can you retweet this and copy in Nicola Sturgeon @NicolaSturgeon

We need to get the Nationalists AND the Unionist talking about this.

It’s true. I can’t speak out on this subject on twitter because it would affect my job.

It’s amazing how people like Toby Young can tweet offensive belittling shit about women and be promoted into high profile public sector roles...but the majority of professionals - and MSPs it seems - are too terrified of the backlash to be publicly critical of this extreme transgender activism.

Regarding the 'rev' - well even a slow clock is right once a day.

I've spoken privately with one or two. There's some real concern inside the party - and the Parliament - but everyone is too scared of the backlash they'd get for speaking out about it, which is worrying. Hopefully showing them that the public is behind them in large numbers might stiffen them up a bit.

Thanks for that info. It's a bloomin' ridiculous situation but it helps to know there is at least some parliamentary concern when I'm trying to pin down a couple of SNP MSPs for a conversation about this.

In an article on readership stats published on 1st January, he gives some figures for log ins from Scottish Government computers.

So there are Holyrood lurkers are on Wings. It's good exposure and Wings is tenacious.

I hadn’t realised it was already the case in Scotland that trans identifying people can already access women’s safe spaces.

Stickystickstick Thats a breach of the Equality Act.

My guess is that the trans movement is the easiest way for the Right to get rid of it, and the Left are clueless enough to cheer them on.

Ereshkigal · 05/01/2018 23:26

This is a really good article explaining it (posted on another thread). Practical actions to take at the bottom and a link to a factsheet you can give to MPs etc.

Stickystickstick · 06/01/2018 11:01

irkthepurist Yes but much of the argument against GRA changes is that it will make it easier for men who self identify as women to access safe spaces but as the law stands in Scotland at least, it is already the case that they can without a GRC.

Ereshkigal · 06/01/2018 13:19

There are exemptions. We can put pressure on organisations to use them.
