Can someone help me argue this on twitter

In light of the Lewis Hamilton furore I posted a picture of my son in his princess dress with something along the lines of let's stop gendering 'stuff' and let kids be kids.

I've now found myself in a twitter row with someone who says by referring to my child as my son I have 'gendered' him.

Apparently 'boy' is not the same as male and is a gendered term.

Am I losing my mind or does boy simply mean 'a male child'?

I should just step away from the keyboard but it's doing my head in.

It's far worse than religion these days. You can say you think the idea if God is a lot of nonsense and can openly mock it. Try that with a transgender and you could very well find yourself out of a job and having a charge sheet in your back pocket.

I mean it's obviously that you are referring to the dress when you say to stop gendering 'stuff'. But then they go off on the fact that you should not refer to the sex of your son.

I read that Twitter thread, I don't think you need any advice, you explained the facts perfectly. You are discussing it with an idiot who argues man/boy is a social construct ie gender. Give that person a mirror and I suspect they would happily argue (unconvincingly) with themselves about who the real person is.

Transubstantiation is similar to transgenderism. Just as bread can become the body of Jesus and wine his blood, so Lily Madigan can become a woman and a lesbian.

Orthodox catholics will recite this doctrine. However, one suspects they don't really experience cannibalism when they consume the host. Likewise we know that Owen Jones et al. don't really perceive Lily as a lady.

Even seeing Owen Jones' name annoys me. Has he got a 'thing' for Transgenders? I know im being a dick asking but hes far far too keen imo and as a man he comes across as such.
