Second post is from Justin Norwood who was amazing. Until he opted out of gender politics because, as a man, he could. He did acknowledge that to be fair.

The response by Lily Maynard was excellent.

I would add, and it's been mentioned before, several hundred times probably, that tra's flaunt the rules regarding suicide when it comes to reporting. This is a serious issue and really ought to addressed as a matter of national urgency.

What are the rules?

The Samaritans have lots of guidelines for talking about suicide - recognising the contagion effect. One is not to use stats that have not been checked www.samaritans.org/media-centre/media-guidelines-reporting-suicide/suicide-reporting-10-things-remember

How can he even write this and also support extreme transactivism, which is the most individualist movement ever? Owen, love, you can't call for class analysis and solidarity and support the pre-eminence of individual feelings at the same time. The one contradicts the other.

Both fantastic articles. I think that OJ is vile. He makes me feel sick.

I can't say I know much about Owen Jones but a lesbian friend of mine is convinced he not only hates women but especially lesbians.

He has an unctuous misogyny that seems to punctuate and permeate everything he says and does. He makes my flesh crawl.

His rampant transactivism is founded in the decimation of women as a class, in favour of the feelings of men on a spectrum of arbitrary individualism.

The man is profoundly stupid.

Lots of dim people get into Oxbridge. You don't have to have intellect if you've got bags of (unwarranted) self-confidence.

I'm still trying to digest the insanity of his article. Is it not incredibly offensive to gay people to compare their struggle to get the same age of consent (only granted in 1994!!!)and the fabulous boon of not being prosecuted for gay sex in private in 1967 to transgendered males wanting the "right" to share prison and refuge space with women and be treated as women for quotas?? It's just mind-boggling.
