"A courtroom was put into lockdown today for the sentencing of a transexual prisoner said to be one of the most dangerous inmates in the whole of the Scottish prison system.

Tiffany Scott, formerly known as Andrew Burns, was led into the dock, half naked to the waist, wearing the remains of a shirt torn to shreds, before shouting vile abuse at a sheriff."

"Members of the public were cleared from the courtroom, amid fears that Scott, who has been known to bite open his own veins and spray blood at people, presented "a clear danger"."

"Scott shouted "f*g transphobe bd" and "c**" as Sheriff Livingston jailed him for a further year on five charges of assault and one of criminal damage, ordering the term to be served consecutive to his present, indeterminate sentence."

"The charges followed incidents between August and October 2015 while Scott, of Kinglassie, Fife, was in a segregation unit in Glenochil.

At the time, prison staff were complying with his requests that he should be known as "Mighty Almighty", or Obi Wan Kenobi."

"He covered himself in excrement which he also smeared round his cell door and over the observation port, and staged a self-hanging by shredding his tear-proof clothing into strips and making a noose, which he suspended from a sprinkler valve.

Warders – wearing full-body protective clothing, including helmet, visor, and gloves, and carrying 4ft by 2ft Plexiglass shields amid fears that Scott was armed with a medical cannula she had ripped from her body during hospital treatment – had to burst into her cell to save his life."

"Fellow prison officer Colin Park, 41, said Scott had told staff he had "weapons secreted", such as razor blades and needles, with which he could have harmed them, which was why he and his fellow officers had to wear full protective clothing to enter her cell and cut the noose from her neck during her attempted hanging."

"Violent criminal Andrew Burns, who has changed his name to Tiffany Scott, is demanding only female officers search him.

But three guards are defying orders to give him intimate body checks and have brought in their trade union to back them up.

The 25-year-old, who also calls himself Mitzababy, is not undergoing any treatment to transition to female.

“This week, he insisted on being strip-searched by female warders instead of males.

“The women gritted their teeth and did what they were told on the first day. But on the next shift, they refused point blank.

“Nobody blames them. Burns is creepy and quite clearly a man so there’s no reason why professional warders should have to go along with this fantasy.”"

As said above, he identifies as a women so he therefore is, as much as any other woman is.

To see how far this madness has gone consider the fact that prison/court staff refer to him as Miss Scott. The Scottish Prison Service already operates on a policy of self-identification as do NHS Scotland, who have signed up to a Memorandum of Understanding which agrees only to affirm gender identity. No counselling or therapy is allowed to challenge or explore this gender identity.

He is currently in Saughton Prison which has a women's wing - I can't confirm, but I am certain this is where he is being held. Whether the union for the female staff are able to take any action remains to be seen.

He is absolutely totally taking the piss and they are letting him make fools out of them
They are giving him all the power and he will take full advantage of it

Allthelightsgoout · 08/10/2017 12:44

Wherever he is I can't imagine he isn't in seg.

"People and the prison service get stuck in these cycles which damage everyone involved but when you are serving an indeterminate prison sentence you don't have a lot to lose and you have plenty of time to think up the next way you can cause as much chaos as possible. He hates the prison service, they hate him and round and round it goes."

This^^ He reminds me of Charles Bronson a bit.

On the surface of it he certainly seems to tick a lot of boxes fit anti-social personality disorder (I.e. a psychopath). The difficulty with people like him in terms of where to house him, is no one wants them. Prisons don't, because they behave in this way and are largely unresponsive to traditional "punishments" and have little or no rehab potential. psychiatric hospitals don't want them because they're pretty much untreatable.

Ereshkigal · 08/10/2017 21:20

Certainly housing him in the women's estate isn't a reasonable solution.

BarbarianMum · 08/10/2017 22:07

No, but then he shouldn't be in a woman's prison even if he were a rational and reasonable prisoner. Because he's a man.

Ereshkigal · 08/10/2017 22:16

Indeed.

SerfNTerf · 08/10/2017 22:19

Something that's convenient baffling about this man and about the rapist who committed suicide in prison last week is that none of the usual transactivists have come out in support of either of them Confused

I mean you'd think they'd be up in arms but nope, radio silence.

It's almost like these aren't a good look for the cause.

Ereshkigal · 08/10/2017 22:23

Why aren't they defending these tragic transwomen? It's a scandal that needs calling out.

SerfNTerf · 08/10/2017 22:31

Yeah... you'd be forgiven for thinking that they only want to take up the cause of fuckable looking attractive young trans women. But surely not? That would be terribly cisnormative not to mention invalidating and cherry picking and misogynist for starters.

OlennasWimple · 08/10/2017 22:35

The selective "good transwomen" case championing reminds me of Chris Morris's

Ereshkigal · 08/10/2017 22:37

Yes!
