Why the LGB etc group added T?

Lesbianism etc is a sexuality and nothing to do with gender

Very true! Maybe just a support network? Both groups can get a lot of grief in some countries more than another.

I think they were linked in the public's mind and sometimes experienced similar problems (e.g. a thug didn't really differentiate between a camp gay man, a drag queen or a transsexual woman). I was part of an organisation many years ago that was discussing adding T to the LGB (back when that stood for transsexual, not transgender) and while there was some concern that it was a separate issue, the argument was that there weren't enough of them, they weren't strong enough on their own etc so should be included in LGB.

In my experience, it's because the T are very, very good at political campaigning.

It's never just the T - it's always 'T and minority women' or 'T and lesbians' or T and some other disadvantaged group, which T will proceed to take advantage of to further their cause. T and intersex is the biggie - and intersex people are an even smaller group who's protesting at being co-opted is completely drowned out by the T.

Just look at murder rates - murder rates quoted for T are piggy backing rich, white males on the back of poor, black transwomen who are being prostituted to pay for their transformation (ie. the reason they're being murdered is the same as prostituted women - violent men). They should be ashamed of this tactic, and helping these transwomen, but instead they just use it to brow beat women into doing stuff for their rich, white selves (ie. still not actually directing help to the trans people who need it)

There are many calls to drop the T from the LGB. From lesbians particularly as it damages them. Gay men also. But not as much, because, as we all know, this ideology damages women far more than men.
