It's disappeared from my TIO, not even a deletion message visible...... this is all incredibly confusing, what on earth is going on.

How do you see that message CeeBee? I posted a reply on that thread but cannot see the deletion message on my TIO. All very confusing.

I don't know why Mumsnet and the sheep get so worked up about TAAT. They're a good way of having further discussion without derailing a thread. You can explore issues more deeply on a TAAT and, if you start the thread in another topic, expand the audience.

I made that point (or was starting to!)..... that the original thread was requested deletion by the OP, then a TAAT was deleted. But this didn't constitute silencing, as we are at liberty to discuss the issues at hand. But then it gets deleted, and we go round in circles! So silly.

MN have a no TAAT policy. I don't agree with it but it's what they have and they can't deviate from it because that's the policy...

So it's pointless feeling that people are 'being silenced' when it's a TAAT because it isn't 'being silenced'...it's just the policy that they have chosen and have to adhere to.
