We are away for a few days and I bought some cheap travel versions of classic games in poundland to keep the children occupied for a bit. One is a guess who knock off. I know there has been significant comment on the character breakdown in the official game so who wants to guess how this one compares? There are 20 characters/faces in total, so I'm taking guesses on -

1. number of women
2. number of people of colour
3. number of white men

3 1 16. Are they real people you have to guess or more like in happy families? If the latter, I guess two of the women will be Scooby gang stereotypes and the 3rd either an evil morticia type or a comedy old grandma.

I remember reading an exchange between a kid and the makers of guess who, the kid saying "why are there only 4 girls" and the makers explaining the game relies on each "feature" only knocking out 4, with an astonishing lack of understanding about why that explanation itself might be problematic...

They are all named people with individual (if poorly printed) features.

I'll wait for a few more answers before the big reveal.

Babypythagorus, that's interesting. Looking at the hats/beards/glasses features, there are 4 of each character with each feature.

Women:- Anita, Anne (black?), Susan (I think), the one with the red hair and hat, and another one.
Rest were men. Of which iirc 2 were black.

But I think even the P.O.C were like slightly tanned rather than black african or whatever.
