Depends on what the charge was. As prostitution is not illegal in the UK presumably any criminal record will relate to soliciting, brothel keeping or pimping. If it makes exiting easier there is an case for wiping solicitation convictions the others, no.

This looks pretty good but a long read! It's clear from the executive summary they're taking a Nordic approach.

Prostitution-related offences are confined to those directly relating to prostitution including loitering, soliciting, keeping a brothel, causing or inciting prostitution for gain, and placing an advert for prostitution within the vicinity of a public telephone box (carding).

Lass - it's specifically about the fact that women who want to exit are faced with criminal records - it doesn't really examine the pimps and punters side of it but yes the organisation is pro nordic model.

But some of those offenders will be women e.g keeping a brothel, causing or inciting prostitution for gain.

It's a tricky one, Lass. 'Keeping a brothel' can mean two women working from the same premises for safety. 'Causing or inciting prostitution for gain' can mean a woman has been coerced by her pimp with threats of violence into recruiting her friends. Or these offences can be full-on, no excuse, no scruples pimping.
