Just that really. I know it would cost a shit tonne of money, would probably get hassle and barriers all the way there. On top of the technical and practical difficulties.

However I think it would be enormously symbolic (globally), encourage more women into STEM, and just generally be very inspiring.

Oh I totally get wanting to go to Mars, and from what I understand, women would be a good choice (something about better Gee resistance, better at living in groups etc.)

Unfortunately I'm pushing 40, and too short and fat for a space-suit (I've always wanted to go into space, which is why I know that I'm too short even for a Russian or Chinese space suit and equipment)

Dd would be up for this. She's 6, so could actually be a candidate in 2030.

I don't think I'd want her to go though . She wouldn't come back.

What do you mean? There are already 4 women currently in the program to be the first humans to take foot on Mars.

And this STEM bullshit has gotten out of hand. Women are already favoured in STEM fields having a 2:1 employment ratio towards them
