That makes for pretty shocking reading.

I'm not actually that surprised to read that some places are actually going backwards, that tallies with the more general sense of backsliding that I get on women's issues these past couple of years.

The chairs were non-stipendiary. That's right - they got the title, but not the pay.

Can you imagine this situation reversed.

We actually need to start using the language of male advantage rather than female disadvantage. It makes the situation starker. Eveleen Richards has published interestingly on this.
