I can only hope that the tiramisu I ate at lunch time self identified as low calorie.

Thinking about it, that whole horsemeat scandal was very transphobic. Clearly, those horses identified as cows, or they would never ever have ended up in lasagna. After all, self-identification is never abused by anyone who is not truly trans.

All the meat I eat identifies as vegetables, enabling me to identify as a vegetarian.

I've been trying to explain my objections about self-identification, with particular reference to sports, to DH and failed.

However a golden retriever lamb kebab example has really clarified the issue.

I think my favourite bit is:
“I’ve always felt like lamb, even when I was running around chasing a ball and woofing."

In fact the more I read it, the more I think it's genius how it encapsulates and refutes the "self identification" argument in so few words.
