Saudi TV "be free" campaign gets up the nose of Saudi men

Picked this up off BBC news. A campaign for women's freedom has upset the men, with the TV stations owner threatening to "destroy" whoever wrote it. Apparently it used "wrong, unacceptable language".
As a bonus at the end there is a second article saying an American pastor is upset that the LGBT community have appropriated the rainbow from God Grin

I am surprised there is enough freedom for women in Saudi Arabia to even launch such a campaign.

That Saudi men don't like it is no surprise at all. That they try to pretend that they object to the language used when actually they just don't want women to be free, is also no surprise.

This follows well-known patterns of male silencing of feminists. Nothing new.

A Saudi man was fined and jailed for suggesting its time to end male guardianship of women...

I wonder if this will make the Saudis think about controlling access to social media like China?
