Hi I'm researching women's/girls views and experiences of portrayals of sexualisation and violence against women on TV/film to develop as a PhD proposal.
Game of Thrones, 50 shades, Last Tango in Paris etc..film scholars describe the treatment of VAWG as very often being a 'sexualised spectacle of violence against women'. Do you agree? What do you think and feel about VAWG portrayals in mainstream film and TV landscape?
