Thank you for that SoulSearcher. I've just been feeling annoyed that I didn't manage to contact my MP yet. I'm going to write something now!

How do we get this properly debated in the news media? A genuine discussion about implications and consequences?

QuentinSummers · 08/03/2017 08:08

Write to the letters pages/ editor?

Poppyred85 · 08/03/2017 15:12

I've just had a letter back from my MP. I really thought she might have taken in some of my concerns. Instead I got the usual political speech about how great the government is, how pleased she is that gender dysphoria is no longer a mental health condition and how important tackling transphobia and bullying is. I totally agree with her on that but she didn't even bother to address to potential problems of having self identification as the only criteria for accessing women's spaces or about supporting gender dysphoria children beyond offering hormones etc. I feel totally demoralised.

If this bill is passed I will never vote again because it will have shown that no one in power could care less about women. Honestly I could cry with all this, it's thoroughly depressing.
