Feminazi...

How upset are you when you are called a feminazi? And why?

For me, the insult to me is almost always water off a duck's back. I just hate the underthinking misappropriation of Nazi. It's like breadtapo...............

Oh, god, don't say things like that - it'll appear on another thread as an example of how extreme and man hatery feminists are....

Yeah. After all, we live in a post-fact society.

The fact that such a thing never ever happened won't prevent anyone from taking it as justification for their misogyny.

BertrandRussell · 09/02/2017 17:37

Really? On that thread? Why didn't you report it?

OP posts:
BertrandRussell · 09/02/2017 17:39

And to be fair you are a misogynist....

AssassinatedBeauty · 09/02/2017 17:39

What is the point of complaining about personal attacks if you don't report them fgs? Just makes you look like you're attention seeking.

BertrandRussell · 09/02/2017 17:41

I got called a goady fucker and a femin-twat-zi last night.

"Femin-twat-zi" is a new one for me!

BertrandRussell · 09/02/2017 17:49

It was invented specially for me because I pointed out the issues with feminazi.......

OP posts:
Jmslvlc990 · 09/02/2017 17:49

Oh yeah- have been referred to as a goady Fucker too.

And I wasn't complaining, I was responding to point that you shouldn't use innane personal attacks against feminists...ie just pointing out the pot/kettle nature it.

And Im misogynist!

BertrandRussell · 09/02/2017 17:51

"Also someone kindly posted my password on the thread because she didnt like what I was saying, so I took that as a threat to keep quiet from someone with admin rights to the board."

Really? I don't think Mumsnet works like that............

OP posts:
Jmslvlc990 · 09/02/2017 17:51

What evidence do you have for that?

DJKKSlider · 09/02/2017 17:51

I'd rather read posts and threads from supposed 'Feminazis' than posts and threads from people excusing their BF/Husbands for being lazy and helpless by patting them on the head..

"Aww at least he's trying bless him"
Etc.

Nah.... Screw that, expect better I'd say. (I can't be a feminazi though, I dont think they let men join)

Jmslvlc990 · 09/02/2017 17:54

Most boards have moderators with admin rights.

Anyway tell me why you think I'm a misogynist?

BertrandRussell · 09/02/2017 17:55

"Most boards have moderators with admin rights"

I don't think Mumsnet does.

OP posts:
Jmslvlc990 · 09/02/2017 17:56

In that case I stand corrected.

AssassinatedBeauty · 09/02/2017 17:58

Bertrand is correct. Only MNHQ would known passwords. The only users who can do anything with the boards are the NightWatch and they have limited powers.

BertrandRussell · 09/02/2017 18:01

So who posted your password on the thread then?

OP posts:
Jmslvlc990 · 09/02/2017 18:04

I don't want to say now because
A. It will make me look silly ( even sillier than I already feel if yr correct about what you say)
And
B. It will reveal my password to everyone!

Jmslvlc990 · 09/02/2017 18:06

You accused me of being a mysogynist. Please justify your accusation with some evidence!

WomanWithAltitude · 09/02/2017 18:08

It doesn't upset me as such. But I see it as an expression of hatred and misogyny, whether it is a man or woman saying it. To use the term, you must really hate the idea that some women are prepared to stand up for their rights.

AssassinatedBeauty · 09/02/2017 18:09

You've changed your password now, surely? To something that is less likely to be used in general discussion, something long with numbers and special characters that isn't a dictionary word.

WomanWithAltitude · 09/02/2017 18:11

'Femin-twatsie' was invented by a goady poster on another thread, who thought it was a hilarious way to insult feminists in a way that sounds almost identical to 'feminazi' but wouldn't get deleted. (MN had deleted a post using the word 'feminazi' in that thread).

Jmslvlc990 · 09/02/2017 18:23

Assassin no I havnt yet as I didn't see the point as I was under the impression that the user in question could just look it up again. But I will do

HelenDenver · 09/02/2017 18:28

Once you've changed it, do point us at the post.

If your password was ABCmisogyny4me, though, it might have been a coincidence that it was guessed.
