Reading yet another feminism thread that didn't hit double figures replies before someone interjected with 'notallmen...' And the original post didn't even talk about all men, just about 'so many men...'
Have you ever seen an opposite example? Of men interjecting a 'notallwomen' in anything disparaging women as a whole?
I had a quick Google and came back with nothing.

If anyone had the brass neck to suggest that I was inviting rape by travelling I'd probably shout at them, which is very unusual. Who on earth buys tickets to get themself attacked?

That's very true and I've never thought about it before. Perhaps they wouldn't be so sure of themselves if they were confronted by a sobbing victim. 'Deserving it' would suddenly look as wrong and revolting as it is.

I really think that female rape apologists mainly do it because they want to believe that it only happens if you take stupid avoidable risks I think they want to believe you can stop yourself being raped - but they only can believe that through internalised misogyny. As soon as you understand that nothing you do can stop you being raped, only rapists can stop raping, then you can't be a rape apologist.
