I feel like I should be doing more

Apologies for the string of random threads lately. I'm not even sure this is the right place for this tbh but thought I would get a bit more help here.

Basically I feel like I could be doing more. I feel like I talk about women's rights and feminism a lot (mostly online) but I don't feel like I actually do anything to help. Talking and spreading awareness is good don't get me wrong but I feel like it's not enough right now.

What are some other ways I can help? What do people here do? Volunteer? Take part in marches/protests? Sign petitions? I'll admit to being a little lost after that point

I was thinking about volunteering for rape crisis centre or women's aid but I have no idea where to start. Do I just contact my local one and ask them if they are looking for volunteers?

Marking my place for ideas. Do you run op? If so you could be sponsored for refuge or women's aid?

One place I lived had a monthly (or weekly) collection for the local refuge - they were looking for both donations (clothes, toiletries, etc.) and often requested help for someone to do that week's collection round - so, if you were looking to start small, and had the spare cash an extra box of tampons, toothbrush etc. on the weekly shop as a donation (or whatever your local refuge says it needs) would be a start.

Short answer, Yes!

I think a fund should be established to provide for counselling for transgender kids whose psychological support is cut off unless they go onto puberty blockers.
In an ideal world this fund might be the NHS but it ain't.
Helpfully, I have zero clue as to how to set up such a thing
I'd feel a little less helpless if I could send monthly direct debits for such, particularly as I just stopped my one for Amnesty.
I bet someone on here knows the ins and outs and pitfalls of setting up a charity: treasurers/distribution/criteria etc.

Sorry if this is a bit tangential OP.
All of the things you mentioned are well worth doing. You will meet more knowledgeable, focused minds doing them (esp volunteering) who would be sure to stimulate your own and possibly point you towards other practical responses.

You can join feminist groups on facebook etc to pull people together. Doesn't need to be big marches or anything, just small moves.
