No. Why should they?

Guavaf1sh · 06/01/2017 22:29

Most already have two

Namejustfornappies · 06/01/2017 22:29

No. But I also think men shouldn't be either.

VikingVolva · 06/01/2017 22:32

Could you give a little more context?

I think women should be able to join the police and the military, and that shotgun licensing rules should be applied in the same way to both sexes and that sports clubs should be open to all.

Are those the kind of things you're thinking of?

PigletWasPoohsFriend · 06/01/2017 22:32

No. Why should they be?

Xenophile · 06/01/2017 22:32

No.

Unless they're in the military or certain branches of the police.

HerOtherHalf · 06/01/2017 22:35

No civilian (in the UK) is legally allowed to pre-arm themselves for self-defense, and quite rightly so IMHO. Why should gender matter?

tribpot · 06/01/2017 22:36

A relevant study from the US. Like the rest of the population, women are not safer from gun violence by being armed.

quencher · 06/01/2017 22:40

Explain further?

Are you talking about the stiletto woman?

LassWiTheDelicateAir · 06/01/2017 22:59

No unless they are in the forces or the specially trained armed section of the police (SO19 or is that just what they called it in The Bill?)

If you mean generally then , no one in the UK outside those categories or a grouse moor should be using guns. (I concede there are a (very) few other legitimate uses for guns in the UK)
