Watching it now. It's bad enough as a whole,but they had a segment on Johnny Depp and Amber Heard. The comments were infuriating...dismissive,minimising,victim blaming. Well they were both erratic,he had a bit of an alcohol problem, lots of derogatory comments towards her etc. Made me want to scream. And then the cherry on the cake "she got a hefty settlement that she donated to charity so everyone's a winner!". Really? Fucking really?

Why are people even shocked that Depp is an abuser?

Male celebrity + huge sense of entitlement = abuser + plenty of leeway in the media
Female celebrity + victim of abuse = liar + gold digger + zero media leeway

Because that is what they are saying - a big payout makes up for emotional/verbal/physical abuse and that's the price women have to pay.
