Hopefully I didn't imagine this but I'm sure I heard the presenter say that they'd been receiving lots of emails saying "I am Spartacus" during the programme and were looking into what that was all about. I take it these are mners reacting to a Women's Hour interview (I think I saw a thread on this but I can't find it now?). I sincerely hope that the researchers on Women's Hour will realise that this would make a great topic on Women's Hour and if they do they tackle it in a way that is not constrained by fear of being accused of being transphobic simply for discussing the issues raised by numerous women on this site and elsewhere.
I suspect I will be emailing R4 over the weekend too once I have listened to Women's Hour.
