Women MP's Stalked

In the wake of Jo Cox's murder I was watching the Daily Politics last week and discussion turned to safety/security. The percentage of MP's who have been stalked was raised, and it was asserted that of those stalked female MP's were more likely to be targeted.

I would be in favour of examining this as a gendered issue, and to take steps to ensure excellent female candidates are not put off from seeking public office.

I'm pleased to see this, as I thought that one of the most obvious points about that murder was that it was gendered violence, and that seems to have quietly been ignored as usual. There was some talk not long ago about women MPs getting a lot of sexual harassment. I've read Caroline Lucas talking about the inherently masculine slant in Parliament too.
