Abusive comments btl in the Graun

Sad but unsurprising analysis - of the 10 most abused journalists, 8 are women, and the only two men are black. I guess at least they're talking about the problem . . . maybe that's a start.

I tend to think that there is a certain type of inadequate, authoritarian personality who believes that women/minorities are inferior, but has no outlet for these views in real life, hence anonymous online abuse of (disproportionately) female and minority journalists.

The moderator quiz in that article is quite fun (although the comments you have to moderate are shocking).
