Anyone else watching this?

I am ashamed to admit I didn't know half this stuff, I'm watching fascinated and angry at how women were and still are treated.

I hadn't realised that hereditary peerage was still only passed down the male line (its existence in the first place is of course questionable).

Yes, I watched it. It was brilliant.

I feel extraordinarily radical right now. The bravery of the women at Peterloo was amazing.

I loved it. They started with the Levellers, which is always a fine subject, and about the only bit of the 17th century I got that interested in. (More of a 19th century girl, me.)

Amanda Vickery is fab. Nuff said. Did you see her fascinating programme about women's art/craft? So good.

Yes, I saw that - it was also excellent.
