There is much furor over her not wearing a headscarf.
I'm amazed she can bring herself to travel to SA at all and I do wonder how much choice she has in it?

Did Samantha Cameron and Camilla travel to SA with their spouses?

Camilla did and wore a loose scarf draped lightly.

And she has full choice in travelling there - it's coming back that her choice is removed (remembers airport authorities insisting my kid brother aged 11 to take responsibility for 18 year old me and out mother, signing as our guardian so we could be allowed to leave the country in Dad's absence)

Angela Merkel didn't wear a headscarf iirc

there is no furor. at least not in saudi arabia. The west may be in a fizz about her lack of headscarf, but the saudi's don't care.

the bbc says the aame though the article is q few hours old now and that is a long time in social media

It's the media making a fuss. I was on Twitter and you can see that over the years most American women in politics have not covered their heads. This includes Hillary Clinton, Barbra bush, condoleeza rice and so on. It was nothing special. Am Michelle fun by the way.
