She's really interested, but I fear my long-winded rants will probably end up putting her off! Has anyone come across sparky books suitable for this age group?

Not this subject specifically, but I love 'All Born Free' the universal declaration of human rights for children. It is beautiful and lays the foundations for why sexism is wrong and feminism must continue its journey

Anything on A Mighty Girl?

I picked up 'Girls are Best' by Sandy Toksvig at a jumble sale at the weekend - I was going to post here & ask what the general opinion of this book was as from a cursory look, it seems quite good but the pink cover is repelling my DD! I'll come back & say if it's actually any good, but if anyone else has read it & can pass comment, I'll know if it's worth trying to get DD to see beyond the pink cover.
