My boss and his views of women - complete sexist idiot?

Just mulling over how I'm going to get through the rest of this academic year working for this man. He is a Head teacher. Here are things I have issues with thus far:

*Refers to us mere teachers as his "harem." (Longing for him to do that in my presence.)
*Comments on the attractiveness of various mums.
*Openly did the "up and down eyes" when the very attractive NQT was walking down the corridor. When I addressed him he did a "mock shake" as if to return to normality.
*When a little girl was extremely distressed but couldn't express why his exact comments were "that'll be hormones. When they start going 'waaah, I'm crying but I don't know why' that's gotta be hormones."

I've never encountered anyone like this in a school setting. He is relatively young and I think he thinks he's being a bit bold and funny, but his whole attitude screams of issues with women. I've got to get through this year...

Oh dear god. He is leading the education of young children??

Oh and at the end of last year he gave me a massive bollocking about something beyond my control, buggered off then rang the office to ask the receptionist "did CatKisser cry?"
I really cannot bear him.

That is truly appalling. He should be reported.

Don't worry. There is not a single member of staff who isn't logging these incidents.

What an idiot... On the bright side, surely that sort of crap is professional suicide. I hope.

There is another boss thread (also about a HT) is that you? I kind of hope so and that there aren't loads of male HT's running around being sexist cunts ruining the nation's youth. Also why are they always male? Aren't most teachers female? I wonder what the proportion of female to male HTs there are compared to regular teachers.

How about all of you, each time he says any of this, slowly get out your diaries, look at your watches, note the date, time, location, witnesses and what exactly was said and if he asks any of you say 'We have been advised to record every instance of sexism in the workplace' and say no more.

That's the problem in our society. The sexist pig HT has been promoted by his seniors who are, guess what, also sexist pigs. Birds of a feather and all that. Even in female dominated industries (eg charities and teaching), guess who all the senior managers are - invariably and mostly, men.

Are you concerned about 'getting through the rest of the year', or asking for advice on how to deal with the problem?

Can't see the other thread but I don't think it was by me, so it looks like there are several HTs who don't know how to conduct themselves in the work place (or indeed in life!)
Pan both really. I am hoping to go through to the upper pay scale next year so this is a very important year. Really though, I was just pondering how someone so wildly stupid and entirely sexist has risen so high in education. Zazzles makes some valid points about that, though.
