Is anyone going to this on the 22nd of November? It looks really good with speakers including Bea Campbell talking about the limits of equality; Melissa Tbs talking about mothering, and Julia Long talking about pornography. There is also a free creche.

I probably won't be able to come, but the line up looks brill. I found Femi to be a wonderful Chair at FemiFest, warm and funny but passionate at the same time. KIS was amazing as well, she is a bit of a shero of mine anyway, but she was very gracious when answering my shite question Grin I've also watched the Julie Bindel talk from FemiFest and I'm really pissed off that I missed it....

Have a great time! I felt so energised by the day I spent at FemiFest.

After the issues with the sex workers where the conference was talking about sex work but not letting sex workers in to join the discussion sorry this will be a no go. Any conference that silences a section of us because that group have a different opinion is no better than those that Bindel will discuss in the workshop. Feminism is suppose to be for all women but Nottingham decided that not all women have the right to discuss women's rights so not anything I would connect with.

Yes you are right, Nottingham Women's Conference last year did not let in anyone who turned up on the day, without a ticket. The conference sold out a month before.
And as you know, last year a number of women in the conference talked about their personal experience of the sex industry. No the conference did not have speakers from the Sex Workers Open University, as SWOU demanded.
