I just wanted to recommend the above book by Viv Albertine. I'm not into punk music, but it's a great read for those of you who like reading books by, or about, a strong feminist character.

I was an absolute fan back in the day so obviously rushed out (er dashed tomy computer) to get it. It is very interesting what she has to say about the business back then and the people she got involved with. Ari Up seemed even more 'out there' than I thought she was!!!

I got this for my birthday. Haven't had a chance to read it yet but I'm looking forward to it. I loved her on the bbc documentary about women in punk.
