Has anybody seen the tweets/Facebook status doing the rounds about this?

Chrissy Mack is a porn star.

I'm sorry I can't link I'm not sure how to on my phone.

Her ex, MMA fighter war hammer, arrived unannounced at her home to find her with a male friend fully clothed. He battered the friend, the friend bolted and he started to batter her senseless. He knifed her, hit her, kicked her, broke her arm, nose, jaw. It was a horrific assault where he told her he was going to rape her but could not get an erection. She managed to escape when he went looking for a knife and he has now gone on the run.

It's truly a shocking incident of domestic violence but what has shocked me more is the comments men are making regarding the incident. Every single comment on the Facebook status that was put up by the lad Bible regarding what happened was men saying she deserved it for being a slut, she needed hit back into the kitchen, it's her own fault for cheating, she will be fine because she's used to getting banged, she's ugly, a slut, he is a legend, she should drop her knickers faster next time... I could go on.

Literally hundreds of comments all the same.

It actually upset me that this is the mindset of young men. The sad thing is, most of them are in relationships Sad

Eugh, what horrible comments. AngrySad

I don't really have anything helpful to add. I do hope she makes a good recovery and he gets caught, though.

They have put a $10,000 reward up for his arrest so hopefully people will keep their eyes open.

The comments are disgusting Sad

Hopefully yes he will be caught and she will get some justice. Sad though that people would even need a monetary reward for finding such a monster.

The comments make me despair of my age group. I surround myself with people who don't think like that but outside of my circle there's a certain percentage of society that are, quite frankly, frightening to me.

Love your name btw!

Christ what a horrific ordeal.

Hope they catch the fucker soon and throw the book at him.

Hope she recovers ok but God her injuries are horrendous.

Why anyone would applaud this is beyond me. Eye opening though I guess. Jesus.

That is horrific!

The comments after.... ye gods!

Yeah, men don't despise women in any way, nothing to see here at all.

MerlinsUnderpants · 12/08/2014 16:45

One of the more disturbing sentiments that is repeated again and again in the comments both here and on stories like it, is that women 'should take responsibility for our actions.' What did we expect was going to happen after all, therefore it is all our fault and we are just trying to blame the men. No mention of the violent men taking responsibility for their behaviour, it is all the woman's fault, we should take responsibility for what men do.

Another disconnect is when asked what if it was your mother, sister, daughter etc. Their answer is that it wouldn't happen to them as they are not 'whores' and clearly whores deserve what they get, yet I bet that these are the same people who claim porn actresses and prostitutes are 'empowered' and just enjoy sex, not like us frigid feminists.

But remember men are the logical sex y'all!

That poor woman Sad

aturtlenamedmack · 13/08/2014 12:47

I've just had an argument on Facebook about this after some prince said that she needed to take some responsibility for the situation and wasn't blameless.
This was an aquaintence of mine and it was said with no hint of irony.
He was shot down in flames for it, but it showed me that it isn't just trolls looking for a reaction, its the genuine opinion of some, and sadly I don't think its even an unusual one.
