Over dinner he asked why its "surname" and asked if it's to do with being a "sir" ie because of it being a man's name

He was then baffled as to why a woman would have to change her name

Then we had a (simple) chat about patriarchy. and women not having the vote.

He then asked if that was because men were scared because women had the power to have babies Grin

Grin that's brilliant - he's obviously being raised to question things, which is a credit to you. Hope I can encourage my DS (7 months!) to think critically too.
