Winter's Bone

I've just watched the film Winter's Bone on BBC2. I'd read the script before but the film was excellent. If anyone wants to see a film where a teenage girl is neither a pink princess or a vampire obsessive then I highly recommend it.

Good film - lots of strong female characters having proper interactions with each other, lead character is helped on her quest by her female friend, female discussion and action drives the plot forward and resolves the central issue in the film.

Excellent film. Jennifer Lawrence is an excellent female lead and role model for young women I feel. It was on TV last week but also on netflix

Just watched it on iplayer, second view since seeing it at the cinema originally.

WHAT a good film, on so many levels. Brilliant. Watching it a second time was good, noticed so many depths and details that - because of the gripping plot line - I didn't notice first time round. Fascinating.

Interesting to read up about the writer and director Debra Granik, as well.
