Feminist humour (is not an oxymoron)

So, any recommendations on comedians of feministy bent

There was a woman who won the comdeian award at the last Edinburgh Festival Fringe. I read she did a feminist routine. Can't remember her name, but it should be easy to find.

I'm not sure what is meant by feminist humour. Do you mean humour that is not misogynistic?

I actually downloaded her radio 4 show, it was very good.

Kind of miley, but something that does actually have a genuinely feminist bent would be quite nice too.

He cites an example of comedian Benjamin Crellin who tells a joke about dropping a nuclear bomb on Korea in a computer game.

From your article, what a twat. He genuinely can't see that 1 ut of 4 of his audience haven't personally been attacked by a flame thrower, and there is the difference.

Just looked on Jacky Fleming's website and looked through the postcards. Most were hilarious but I hate the whole, 'oh men! They never doing any cleaning.' I know for some, this is an actual problem and that some men don't bother cleaning or think they should. But, the message in the postcards on the topic seemed to be that men don't notice cleaning needs doing, bloody idiots. It seems to me to be an extension of stereotyping the behaviour of men through humour such as the bloody awful 'little monkey'', 'I'm a boy therefore I am cheeky and naughty' type t-shirts I come across when shopping for my toddler. It puts the idea out there that this is what boys and men are all like, this is what we should expect of them.

I just want to shout: It's not all men!

It makes me cross. Yes, some men are like that (so are some women) but these sorts of jokes perpetuate stereotypes and I can't see that that is helpful.
