Noah's Wife's name

This maybe a fairly inconsequential question in the grand scheme of things, but my ds was given a rather nice wooden Noah's Ark present for his christening. It has little wooden figures for Noah and his wife, and I've decided I don't want to just refer to them as Noah and Noah's wife. She should have a name.

I thought it would be a simple google job, but there seems to be some confusion. In that recent movie it was Naamah, but Google came up with Emzara, anyone with some knowledge care to weigh in? If not I'll just pick one and go with that.

Lot? Sarah? Mrs Noah?! Grin

ReallyFuckingFedUp · 23/05/2014 17:25

We had this conversation yesterday! Grin

We also have a nice wooden Noah's Ark toy and keep calling her Noah's wife. How do you pronounce Naamah? I haven't seen the film.

Nelly

Noah's Wife's name
gertiegusset · 23/05/2014 17:32

Na'amah is, I think, the Islamic name and Emzara from the Bible.

UriGeller · 23/05/2014 17:34

Joan of Ark.

ReallyFuckingFedUp · 23/05/2014 17:39

I always thought it was Hephzebah

BikeRunSki · 23/05/2014 18:25

I thought it was Hephzebah too. Our Noah and wife always have a kiss when they come out to play.

Loving Emzara.

Don't you want to start a thread on Baby Names and watch people dashing to tell you it sounds chavvy déclassé and everyone will think you've just bunged together Emma and Zara.

I enjoy it when very old names sound very modern.

WillieWaggledagger · 23/05/2014 19:11

sharon is one of the oldest names around, and yet to my ears it is a name of a particular generation

UptoapointLordCopper · 23/05/2014 19:43

Joan of Ark. Grin Grin

DinoSnores · 23/05/2014 21:06

We've got Noah & Mrs Noah but I wish I'd thought of Joan!!!

poocatcherchampion · 23/05/2014 21:34

We've got Mrs Noah too!

GotMyGoat · 23/05/2014 21:38

My dd, on her 2nd birthday, named Noah's wife "Mrs White". She named her all by herself without any prompting and was the first toy not to be called dolly, zebra or lion etc. A wonderful feminist in the making. Shame on all of you!

StrawberryMojito · 23/05/2014 21:39

We also have a lovely wooden ark that houses Noah and Mrs Noah.

Geraldthegiraffe · 23/05/2014 21:41

The actual bible as we know it doesn't have a name for her does it?

Hissy · 23/05/2014 21:50

In islam I think it's Zuleykah.
