On R4 Front Row just now. The problem with male on female violence is that women "accept" it. That's the thing that scares her most... Not men who pummel, rape, grope, demean or otherwise abuse women! Angry

Didn't catch it but was she maybe saying, in a very poorly phrased way, that what is so worrying about male on female violence is that it is so insidious to society, and so accepted as a way of life, that women think they just have to accept it?

Because that I'd understand.

Yes it is victim blaming and moves the focus away from the perpetrator i.e. the man

But Callani is right society forces women to accept violence and minimises male violence all the time. Only today there was an article in the Independent about wanting to down grade rape under the premise of getting more convictions Hmm
