It's a ridiculous photo. Clearly felt they needed to emphasise which shoes were mens -solid black dependable shoes. The woman's shoes look quite frivolous.

They are daft shoes. But what an encouraging article :)

Good god. Backless red high heels and seamed tights? (Is that what you call them?) - as they were just going for a stock photo to demonstrate the theme businessman-business woman, basically ANY smart pair of shoes would have illustrated the point. Frankly those look like hooker shoes. Fine if that's what you want to wear, but as an illustration to a news article they are out of line.

From the article;

^Vince Cable, the business secretary, said: "Despite good progress since 2010, we are still not tapping into the talents of half the workforce.

"Too few women occupy the top positions of our companies today. Yet the evidence is clear - those businesses with diverse senior management make better decisions and that is reflected on the bottom line.

"This is not about political correctness, this is about good and profitable business sense."^

Every cloud...

Poor choice. Apart from the dreadful shoes on the fenale, the man's trousers are too long also... Grin
