It's not just fluke, a lack of female 'active' heroes is part of CBBC policy it seems.. Does anyone else see this reflected in the programmes? Are there any programmes you ban..? Thanks!!

The end if the article says it's an old document at least 7 years out of date - though if it's still online that begs the question of whether it has actually been updated and replaced. Really this stuff makes me despair, my DCs are too young for CBBC but I hardly ever allow them to watch TV unless it's a film or something I have pre-screened for suitability. I get called 'worthy' on here sometimes when I talk about raising my DCs but this makes me feel justified!

Mind you the same happens with books - I often amend them whilst reading. Last night Mrs. Darling allowed Wendy to visit Peter each year to fight the pirates for him, not do his housework!!!
