Kicked Sexism into touch today!

So I was walking through a park today and some young men were playing football on a pitch, surrounded by a high wire fence. One of them kicked the ball and it landed on the path in front of me so I picked it up for them getting ready to kick it back to them when a man jogged passed me. So the young man from the team started shouting to the jogger (about 70 yo)

'Scuse me 'Scuse me' He didn't hear as he was wearing headphones. So I'm like ....

'What? a woman can't kick a ball!!' the young man then said 'OK Go on then, kind of sneeringly........so I got in to position, dropped kicked the ball which connected beautifully with my boot and sailed easily over the fence and back onto the pitch ;-)

The footballers all cheered along with shouts of 'Sign her up!!'

I took a bow, accepted their applause graciously and thought Fuck you lot!!

Really wanted to ask them when was the last time the Menz won a football World Cup??

To be fair to the guys, most women most of the time aren't wearing the sort of shoes that allow you to give a football a really good kick.

But 'well done' to you for impressing them!

Thanks Suzanne - I met up with a male friend after and told him about it - he said any time he tried to kick a ball back he always misses! Ha Ha!

But I was all poised and ready - had my High Heeled boots on but still capable of kicking a ball - was really glad I did it though, imagine if I had to take half a dozen attempts?

But sad u have to be judged by how well you can kick a ball to be considered as an acceptable human being...

I would have just put the ball back down and walked away. If they didn't want me to give it back they could get it themselves.

Didn't think of that Cailin - in fact I should have miss kicked it to the other side of the park!

You could have said "See, if you want your balls kicked, ask a woman."
