Yep, I (the only woman) got told I was the emotional one in the team. (Yeah, it's because I'm not quite dead inside like the rest of them...) No, I actually voice my opinion and give input when it's requested, which means they know what I think. It is acknowledged that if you ask for responses, I'm the only one you can guarantee will reply. I think not replying because they just can't be bothered isn't being non-emotional, it's being disengaged.
And am I the one who has got so wound up in a team meeting that I swore in a team meeting? No. That was a man.
I circulated this link at work. Women were going on about how true it was. My manager said, "Interesting. Of course, it's not just women who get perceived differently for the same behaviours." Annoyingly, it was right at the end of the day, and I couldn't stay to argue the point, as I had to be out to meet some people dead on time.
