Are doing a cocktail called a Pornstar Martini. Anyone else think this is blood boilingly wrong of them?

If you're assuming that only women can be porn stars, then that's a bit , isn't it? Or maybe you're not thinking that and I'm missing the point? I wouldn't have thought it's a femininst issue unless you make it one, imho.

I agree OP. The same drink is on the cocktail menu at our favourite and otherwise very classy restaurant. It makes me every time I see it.

It's the normalisation of porn. Like it's an acceptable part of culture.
And also, any martini that isn't comprised of gin, vermouth and an olive is utter sacrilege.

Well, cocktails in General have dodgy names so it's less normalising than it might be elsewhere.

The person who invented it at Balans may well have had a male pornstar in mind.

Oh yeuch. As Doctrine says it is just another to a long list of names for cocktails.

However I have no idea what Balans is so hopefully this one will pass me by!
