Why is it that the minute you express some vaguely feminist leanings, some men take it as a cue to start a "discussion" (which is really an attack on you)?

Feeling a bit shit now

What happened?
Yes I do know what that's like. A person I know put a picture of a TV reporters breasts on his fb page with some ignorant comment and I wrote something along the lines of they are breasts,no need to stare which to him meant I must be jealous of aforementioned breasts.

It's not even a discussion, they just take it as an invitation to educate you on why you're wrong (as they see it. because they're obviously totally objective & reasonable). Wankers.

And the assumption that because you find gratuitous nudity well, gratuitous & offensive, you must be jealous. That old chestnut.

I totally sympathise!

Yes you get a variety of 'mansplainers', 'devil's advocate' (who really just want an excuse to peddle mainstream sexist views and never seem to play devils advocate with those who are being sexist) and those who are deeply unpleasant and you suspect might be misogynists. But there is never a shortage of people to tell you that you're wrong/paranoid/hate men/too sensitive/don't understand yada yada yada. Tedious, rage-inducing and upsetting.
