My niece will be turning 16 soon, and I would like to get her a book to introduce her to the idea of growing up as a feminist woman.
Her parents have brought her up with quite strict Christian views about sex before marriage, so something that might equip her to deal with the challenges of not sticking to such a path, if that is what she chooses to do, rather than something that is going to be diametrically opposed to the views she is used to might be better.
