It's always cringey to see someone battle their own straw constructions. Did the email end "and then everybody around me stood up and applauded"?

Treating people equally doesn't mean treating them all the same, and providing an alternative viewpoint to mainstream sexism isn't the same as compelling people to obey. Those are very old attempts at 'gotchas'.

It is strange how treating women differently seems to end up with them at the bottom of the hierarchy.

A radical feminist would never say to be equal is to be treated identically. Radical feminism is about liberation of women from oppression. Unless it was someone different who said that - it isn't that clear.

And no I don't think we want our 'equality' defined by men either.
