But I am concerned by the article itself.

Why have they aired her picture? WHy have they shown pictures of the video that was taken presumably without permission of the other girl?

But to be fair, false rape is a very serious accusation that can ruin lives.

There's another thread on here (the "so many evil men" thread) where one poster is accusing another's brother of being a rapist. Disgusting.

Just had a look through the comments, and all I see are childish name calling and playground insults (eg relating to penis size etc).

This isn't doing your cause (whatever it is) any favours.

I'm sorry this is not on. There ARE laws against false rape allegations, this is not the way. A digital lynch mob on the say so of some bloke on the internet with an axe to grind isn't the answer.

The way this guy should proceed if he wants to highlight this issue is to widely propagate his own story of being falsely accused, lobby for law enforcement to take situations like his own seriously, and get involved with or start support groups for men who have been falsely accused.

The other thing that grinds my gears on this sort of thing is how this always gets presented as an either/or situation. Like somehow you have to be either against rape or false accusation of rape. Both are reprehensible, both are criminal, and no decent society should tolerate either.

I think it's worse than that scallop, there is no evidence the girl being vilified as having anything to do with the video that was posted that kicked the whole thing off. Beyond the fact the two girls might look similar. This Peter Nolan is 100% certain they are one in the same! yet hasn't to my knowledge presented anything other than photos, and assurances he's sure. Which is precisely why we shouldn't have this mob mentality when it comes to justice.

Actually even if she is the same person and is guilty, she has the right to face her accusers, and to be judged by peers same as any other human being. This Nolan chap has no moral authority nor actual authority to judge and dispense justice.

This is actually fucking terrifying. That man is insane and a serious danger to women - and almost certainly a repeat rapist himself. There ought to be some sort of law that could be used against him (I suspect the problem is to do with international jurisdictions or something) for defamation of character, slander, harassment etc.

HTF can this guy (who appears to be Australian) calmly sit in Germany and orchestrate ruining the life of someone who lives in the US? Who it seems probable isn't even the person that made the complaint?

If I were her I would honestly be looking into any way I could launch a libel suit against everyone involved here. The only thing people like him respond to is getting punched in the face hard (metaphorically speaking).

Oh my gosh...this man is one revolting piece of shite!! If I were that young woman I think I would do everything in my power to make him pay...I hope she does and I hope we hear about it so I can support her.
